Conditions for the acceptance and success of Ruqyah
- Intention – the same way we should have intention when we make any act of worship , we should also have intention before ruqyah. The intention should always be to ask Allah to remove the evil by the words of the Quran.
- Yaqeen (conviction) – one of the etiquettes of dua is to have yaqeen in what you are asking Allah for. We must apply this same conviction to ruqyah as it is a condition of the ruqyah being successful. We should have firm belief and conviction in Allah and that He is the only One who can give the cure
- Patience and consistency – like all acts of worship we should show patience and consistency . When we make dua we shouldnt expect that our dua will always be answered immediately or in the way we want it to be , as Allah always knows best. We should adopt this same method of patience and consistency during ruqyah as well. Reciting daily , making dua daily and other prescribed treatments must be done consistently for us to see results.
