Ruqyah Bath

Ruqyah baths are a very effective treatment to weaken the effects of sihr, evil eye, jinn possession . These baths should be a key part of your treatment and therefore it is very important for you to motivate yourself and make the effort to take these baths on a regular basis. Like other aspects of Ruqyah treatment, you may at times feel very hesitant and demotivated to carry them out, but know that this hesitation and demotivation comes from the Shaytaan and is part of the affliction you are struggling with. When you are trying to better yourself and turn to Allah for help then the Shaytaan will try and strike but you must remain firm and steadfast.

Remember that with Ruqyah the key aspects are trust in Allah alone, patience and consistency. We have dealt with thousands of cases of Ruqyah and so can tell you from experience that Ruqyah baths are very effective and are definitely worth the time and effort.

Remember that all cures and healing are from Allah so take these Ruqyah baths consistently and make dua regularly for Allah to cure you through these baths.

At the bottom of the page there is a YouTube link from a sister, May Allah bless her, that describes how to make a Ruqyah bath. There are a few different ways to make them and the ingredients in the sisters video may vary to our own, but the effect is the same. Below is the method that we use personally.

Ingredients

  1. Three pinches of saffron
  2. Sidr (lote tree) leaves -7 leaves, or 7 pinches if you have it in powder form
  3. 3 table spoons of Apple cider vinegar
  4. 2 or 3 handful of Dead sea salt (coarse, not powdered)
  5. 1 to 2 tablespoon of Orange blossom water
  6. 1 tablesppon of Rosewater
  7. 1 litre of Water
You can purchase most of these ingredients from a Middle Eastern or ethnic food store. The sidr leaves are not always readily available in high street stores but we do them have available for purchase if needs be.

Method

In order for these ingredients to have a ruqyah effect they will need to be recited upon. This can either be done individually in their own bottles , or you can mix the correct amounts of ingredients into a bowl and recite upon the mixed ingredients. However it is better if you can recite upon the ingredients each time as you put them into the bowl as the recitation is more effective.

For the recitation you will need to put the ingredients into a bowl and recite the following on each ingredient as you add it.

  1. Surah Al Fatiha x 7
  2. Surah Al Baqarah, ayahs 1-5
  3. Surah Al Baqarah ayah 102 x 7
  4. Surah Al Baqarah ayahs 255-257
  5. Surah Al Baqarah ayah 284-287
  6. Surah Al Araf, 117-122
  7. Surah Taha, 65-69
  8. Surah Al Yunus, 79-82
  9. The three Quls (Al-Ikhlas, Al-Falaq, An-Naas) x 3
  1. Blow into the bowl , it is good if you can wet your lips and get some spittle when you blow but blowing alone is sufficient
  2. Take a small amount of Apple cider vinegar and massage it into your head, enough to cover your scalp/hair.
  3. Fill up your bath with warm water from the tap as you would if you were having a normal bath. Pour the contents of the bowl/ingredients into the bath. Sit in the bath for 30 minutes and submerge yourself as much as you can in the water.
  4. After some time, 10/20 minutes, Take the bowl and pour the water over your head at least three times or as much as possible. This will wash out the cider vinegar from your hair.
After the bath, pat yourself dry using a towel . Do not have a shower or use soap to wash yourself, just pat yourself dry with a towel and remain in this state overnight. You can then have a shower in the morning In sha Allah.

Advice

  1. First and foremost , make sure you are incorporating as much of Islam into your daily routine. Strengthen your imaan and tawheed by being steadfast in your prayers and your daily adhkars as these are a shield for you. Stay away from sin and that which weakens imaan.
  2. Know that any doubt and hesitation when it comes to something good comes from Shaytaan. By Allah’s will , doing this bath will weaken and hurt the shayateen so of course they will try and put doubts in your mind. Put your trust completely in Allah , say Bismillah and seek refuge from the Shaytaan and proceed with the baths.
  3. There is a possibility that when you are in the bath you may feel like it’s causing you pain. This is in fact a good sign as it’s a sign that your body is healing In sha Allah and that the bath is weakening the shayateen and the effects of the affliction. However , not feeling any pain does not indicate that the bath isn’t working , individuals react differently.

Important

The baths should be done for seven days in a row. As mentioned above you may feel doubts and hesitation but remember that a key part of ruqyah is patience and consistency, changes don’t always happen overnight. Be strong in your trust of Allah and believe firmly that Allah as One will help this affliction through the ruqyabath. After the seven days you should continue with this bath as often as possible , but at least once every two days. The more you do it the more effective it will be.

Ruqyah baths in the Quran and Sunnah

Ruqyah baths have been recommended by a few experts in the field , who practice strictly in accordance with the Quran and the Sunnah. The ingredients that are used in the bath are known to be repulsive to the shayateen (malicious jinn) and weaken and hurt them, therefore weakening the effects of the affliction.

The recitation and blowing into the water is in accordance with the Quran and Sunnah and is a part of Ruqyah Al Shariah , meaning it contains no shirk or anything impermissible. Furthermore it is an act of worship , Allah has told us that He sent the Quran as a healing , we put our trust in Allah and we carry out this act with a sincere intention and ask Allah to cure us through it. We must have full certainly and knowledge that these ingredients are powerless and it is only Allah that has facilitated a cure in them for us.
